I have my FAQs up. I would like more though, so if you have questions please reach out! But I wanted to talk about what I’ve been doing during the days now that I don’t have that “regular” job anymore.
Every day when I get up I feed the cats first. Then do my morning ritual (brush the fangs, have my coffee, check my LinkedIn and do some journaling).
I’ve been trying to also get my Yoga in early. And then if I’m feeling it, I’ll do a few minutes of meditation. Which helps with the flow of creativity. Plus its just good mental health to get some meditation in (even if I’m bad at it).
After that I kind of just feel out what I want to do that day. I have a host of items to get through, but I try to take it easy and let it flow.
Some days I’m feeling extra inspired and I’ll get an extra blog post typed up. Or I’ll write next week’s LinkedIn post.
Some days I’m feeling like doing some learning. I’ll go to LinkedIn learning or LHH.com and take a class. If I do that, it usually takes up the majority of the day. Because most of the classes on LinkedIn are self-paced, I can pause them and take notes and screenshots and put them in my OneNote (yes I still use a OneNote even though I don’t have a corporate job. It is a helpful tool!).
After I finish the course, sometimes I’ll take another one. Or I’ll go and write. But sometimes I’m ready to do something different, so I’ll go sew for a while. Or I’ll spend some time reading or some research.
Throughout the day I get up and do 250 steps every hour. Then I’ll also go for a walk in the afternoon.
Getting outside is very important and I try to make a habit of it.
Because one day I’m going to have a YouTube channel, when I sew I also record what I’m doing. So on days where I have my volunteer work I’ll do editing of the recordings.
Today is my day though. I think I’ll spend most of it writing. But may do some sewing.
Every day has a new surprise. Whether it’s a blog or journal thought or idea. Or I’m feeling inspired in the sewing room. Other days I just want to learn. And boy do I have plenty to learn.
Just don’t ever feel like you’re not doing enough or that you’re not enough. There’s so much to experience and write about, read about, research/learn about. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be able to do all of these things. And I know, once I start sharing everything, I’ll be successful. Because when I put my mind to it, I give my all.
